Byron Browne is an artist and teacher currently living in Asheville, NC. He works in photography sculpture, and installation and received his BFA in photography from UNCA in 2009.  He moved from Norfolk, VA to Asheville in 2002 and has also lived in San Francisco, CA. In recent years, Byron has spent his time cross country bicycling, thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, and working as an arts and photography teacher at summer camps.  He is a licensed North Carolina K-12 Art Teacher and works locally to bring to student interest to life through creative teaching and art making. His most recent collaborative and personal artwork includes installation pieces at the Black Mountain College Museum’s Re-happening, The Asheville Area Arts Council, and the Asheville Darkroom’s Silverspace gallery.
